ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES OFFERED
he objective of RGIPT is to promote capacity
building in competencies required in the
Thydrocarbon sector covering the entire
hydrocarbon value chain. To this end, RGIPT
offers programmes of education and research at
the Graduate and Post-Graduate level in various
areas of the petroleum and energy sector.
RGIPT has also an ambitious plan to offer seven
B. Tech. Programmes, two 5- years Integrated M.
Sc/ MBA Programmes, two M. Sc. Programmes,
twelve Masters (M. Tech. / M. Sc. / MBA)
Programmes of 2- year duration, 12 Domain
Specific PG Diploma Programmes of 1-year duration, Ph. D. Programmes in various areas of specialization,
and continuing education programmes for working professionals in phases.
Currently, RGIPT offers two Undergraduate and two Post-Graduate Programmes. These Programmes are:
Post-Graduate Programmes
1. MBA in Petroleum & Energy Management (2-Year Full-Time Programme)
2. M. Tech. in Petroleum Engineering (2-Year Full-Time Programme)
Undergraduate Programmes
1. B. Tech. in Petroleum Engineering (4-Year Full-Time Programme)
2. B. Tech. in Chemical Engineering (4-Year Full-Time Programme)
Students Selection Process for Admission
For MBA Course
1. MBA in Petroleum & Energy Management No. of Seats : 50
Admission Process: Admission to MBA course is provided on the basis of CAT or GMAT Scores. Based on
the scores, short listed candidates are invited for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
Educational Qualification: Minimum 60% in aggregate (55% for SC/ST) in class 10th and 12th, having
th
Mathematics as one of the subjects in 12 and a 4-year B. Tech/ B.E. degree in any branch of engineering with
65% marks or CPI of 7.0/10.0 or above.
