party beats at the camp disco and the
combination of both had all in attendance
tired and ready for bed with 'lights
out' bringing some much needed sleep.
All in all, my first camp with the school
was a roaring success and I'd like to personally
thank all the staff that made the
experience so exceptional. Specifically
Malti Kushwaha, Lisa Williams, Alex Von
Scheven, Rod Hill, Honor Gillies, John
Torrisi, Jill Scholtz, Zoe Velonis, John
Kelly, Liz Bolton and Jo Johnson; all of
you made the camp what it was and your
willingness to give that little bit of extra
help for the sake of the students was
amazing.
I'd also like to the thank Dennis and Allanah
from Baptist Care for volunteering
to stay with us for the 3 days; the students
really enjoyed your cricketing and
horseshoe throwing skills. But, most importantly,
my hat is off to our Year 7 cohort
for 2012. Such good behaviour on
camp was noted by the camp leaders
and more than one activity leader mentioned
to me how eager and enthusiastic
you all were. We saw plenty of smiling
faces and this is what all camps are
measured by. We're really looking
forward to some great times as you
progress through your schooling
here at Rowville Secondary College
and well done on your first high
school camp.
