panels, amongst others for the OECD, the EU, the BMBF, the Max Planck Society
and the German Science Council. He acted as advisor in research policy also in
Denmark, Sweden, the UK, Ireland, Spain, and Switzerland as well as in China,
Canada, and South Africa. Currently he is a member of the following boards:
