What’s great about
Guy’s Team Camp?
1. Continuity of Training: At Team Camp, the high school
coach has the ultimate say in what is being taught. Together
the team trains and learns the essential technical, tactical
and mental skills of the team game. Learning together is the
critical factor in assuring the team’s ability to transfer what
the team learned at the camp into their traditional high
school seasons.
2. Team Building and Bonding: The strength of six great
players cannot match the power of one great team. At
Team Camp, we are best at bringing individuals together as
a team. Understanding the team concept opens the door to
much more than just winning volleyball games. It opens the
door to learning how to win in the game of life.
3. Get a Jump Start on Your Season: Nowhere else can
you get 4 days of approximately 9 hours of daily team training
focus, with no distractions.
4. Mental Toughness Training: Team Camp emphasizes
mental toughness development. Mental toughness is the
conscious ability of a team or individual to consistently
perform at their best, and more importantly when the situation
is at its worst.
5. Individual Skills Camps vs. Team Camps: It takes far
more effort on the coach’s part to hustle and get the majority
of the team to attend a team camp. However, I believe
every coach would agree that the results of such effort is
far more profitable than to sit back and simply encourage
your players to go to an individual skills camp.
New PowerBook Feature
“Recruiting Guidelines for the High School Player and Parent”
Coach Enriques and his PowerBook presents a new feature that
will guide parents and athletes to the next step – College. The
role of recruiting belongs to the Parent and Athlete and through the
PowerBook, Coach Guy will outline the 4 year process step by step.
“You only get recruited once,” so don’t miss out on this vital part of
your high school volleyball experience.
Why choose
Guy’s Team Camp?
Guy Enriques’ Team Camp
The Best Coaching Staff at any camp! A camp is
only as good as the coaches that serve you and your
team. Our coaching staff pride themselves in their
efforts to give you the most productive and positive
camp you will ever have.
We focus on building the team: Our camps success
is a result of a strong emphasis on building team
skills. Team skills is the power that gives the ordinary
team, extraordinary abilities and performances. The
three major areas of team building are:
55
Mental Development: Attitude, responsibility,
self-discipline, fear, desire, optimism, success thinking,
etc.
55
Team Skills: Communication, team support skills,
player-coach relationship, playing your part as a
member of a team, understanding personal and
team goals, all for one and one for all attitude,
etc.
55
Team Volleyball Skills: Serve, receive, team offense,
team defense, team transition, etc.
Daily and Nightly Competition: Team Camp
strongly emphasizes instruction and practice under
game-like situations. Teams compete continuously
against other similar strength teams under highly
controlled situations that focus on developing a
particular team skill rather than just competition for
competition sake. Exampes of team competition focus
are Playing Under Pressure, Playing
from Behind/Ahead, Finishing the
Game, Serve and Serve Receive
Ability, Ball Control, etc.
Player PowerBook: Each player
and coach will receive a player
PowerBook, created by Coach Guy
Enriques and specifically designed to
build the team and the individual players.
Components of the PowerBook are:
••
Time Management &
Organization Planner
••
Academic Tracking System
••
Attitude Building - Quote
