Summer
activities
A summer holiday of activities is in store
for kids across the district thanks to the
East Herts Council Summer Activities Fund
2013 which has given £25,000 to support for
summer play.
Local schools, sports clubs, youth
organisations and school partnerships were
invited to submit grant applications for sports
and play schemes, activities and trips.
These give children and young people the
opportunity to stay active, be with their
friends and enjoy learning new things
over the summer months.
Activities include: outdoor games & sports,
gardening, dance & drama and podcasting.

Performing Arts
The Wooden Horse
29 July - 2 August 10am - 3pm
Middleton School, Walnut Tree Walk, Ware, Herts, SG12 9PD
This is a 5-day performance project for disabled and
non disabled young people aged 10 to 25.
Participants work alongside leading dance and
theatre experts to devise a production based on the
myth of the Wooden Horse. The Wooden Horse
encompasses dance, circus-skills, drama and
puppetry culminating in a vibrant performance.
£100 book in advance. If you think you can’t
afford it PLEASE STILL APPLY. This is the
standard fee which is applicable to all
participants. We may be able to advise you
on how to get financial support to participate
in our projects.

Really Wild Adventure Play Scheme
