Designed based on Blum’s DYNAMIC SPACE work flow concept, Urban Kitchen promotes an efficient workflow. Regardless

Urban Kitchen and DYNAMIC SPACE
Each Urban Kitchen is based on Blum’s DYNAMIC SPACE practical kitchen concept.
What makes kitchens practical? Kitchens come in for heavy duty use so you soon find out what makes
them practical. Our Requirement Research has shown that practical kitchens have three essential
features: Simple workflows, optimal space usage and top quality motion. In short, workflow, space and
motion.
DYNAMIC SPACE delivers ideas for practical kitchens. It has well-thought-out products for top functionality
in every kitchen; solutions such as the SPACE TOWER larder unit or the SPACE CORNER
cabinet which are tailored to kitchen users’ needs; and know-how that can come in very handy in the
early planning phase.
Five zones for optimal workflow
Consumables
Food is kept in the “consumables” zone. When planning this zone it’s important to
ensure that everything’s within easy reach.
Non-consumables
The “non-consumables” zone is designed for cutlery, crockery and glasses.
That’s why it’s a good idea to have the dishwasher close by.
Cleaning
This zone features the dishwasher and sink. Cleaning utensils and agents should
be kept here so that everything’s close at hand.
Preparation
All the utensils needed for preparing food are kept in this zone between “cooking”
and “cleaning”. Pullouts ensure that they are within easy reach and can be
quickly placed on worktops.
Cooking
There should be enough space for pots and pans and cooking implements right
next to the hob.

HINGES
Blum has taken the simple hinge to a whole new level of
refinement and functionality. Doors can be opened to different
angles and distances depending on the type of hinge
employed. In combination with BLUMOTION, Blum hinge
systems close doors smoothly and without fuss.
TANDEM
TANDEM is a tried and tested runner system for wooden
drawers and pull-outs. It offers refined movement for both
single and full extensions in any living area. Handleless
front designs are fitted either with a mechanical opening
support system called TIP-ON or an optional SERVO-
DRIVE electrical system. TANDEM runners can be integrated
with BLUMOTION for a silent, effortless closing
movement.
ORGA-LINE
ORGA-LINE is a premium quality inner dividing system for
drawers and high fronted pull-outs, comprising cross- and
long-side dividers and adjustable containers. ORGA-LINE
helps you make the most of storage space in the kitchen.

Our patented BLUMOTION mechanism is integrated

BLUMOTION ensures that closure of a fitting is
silent and beautifully damped, regardless of the
force used or the weight of the system.
SERVO-DRIVE, our electrical motion support system,
opens pull-outs and lift systems with the lightest touch
on the front.
A special feature of SERVO-DRIVE for the AVENTOS series is an easily accessible
ergonomic switch for automatic closing. With its integrated BLUMOTION mechanism,
SERVO-DRIVE is synonymous with precision motion.
TIP-ON
inside
TIP-ON is a mechanical opening support system for
beautifully functional opening. A single press on the front
