We are in the process of formulating our class lists for 2012-2013
school year. If your child will NOT be returning to Cottle School in
September, please fill out the form on page 7 of the Weekly and return
the form to the office to Mrs. Linn no later than May 21, 2012.
Maybe you helped price items or carried what felt like a hundred boxes. Maybe you
made copies for us or set up our tables. Maybe you wrapped, wrapped, wrapped or set
up, broke down and set up again. Whatever the job, the joint effort of volunteers
made the 2012 Spring Boutique an organized and fun event for all.

Cottle Art Show is May 23rd from 5:30-7:00 p.m.
The Cottle Art Show will hang in the halls outside the auditorium of the
Tuckahoe Middle School/High School.
Mr. Albano has arranged the show in conjunction with Mrs. Kim's
Spring Concert. Artwork from grades K-5 will be exhibited. Miss Derbin
looks forward to seeing you all there.

Talent Show Requirements
Please read these requirements carefully. All participants MUST have a parent’s
signature on their application. The Talent Show Committee will screen acts for
appropriateness, quality, and safety.
• One act per student, unless participating in a teacher-sponsored act.
• Parents, please watch the act at least once before the audition to check for appropriateness,
quality, and length of the act.
• The act must be thought out and prepared well in advance so that the student(s) can do their very
best at the audition.
• Students are required to attend the dress rehearsal(s). Please no parents.
• Costumes must be approved by the Talent Show Committee and worn to the audition. No
exposed midriffs allowed. Body suits may be worn underneath costumes.
• Lyrics of songs must be appropriate for school.
• No lip sync routines will be allowed in the Talent Show. Accompaniment CDs must not have lead
vocals.
• Acts may not be longer than 2 minutes (no exceptions).
• Students selected to be an announcer or stage hand cannot participate in another act. Two announcers
will be chosen based on leadership, volume, and presence. Stage hands will be chosen
based on leadership and discipline. Announcers and stage hands must be in fifth grade.
• Decisions of Talent Show Committee are final.
