We are in the process of formulating our class lists for 2012-2013<br />

school year. If your child will NOT be returning to <strong>Cottle</strong> School in<br />

September, please fill out the form on page 7 of the <strong>Weekly</strong> and return<br />

the form to the office to Mrs. Linn no later than May 21, 2012.<br />

Maybe you helped price items or carried what felt like a hundred boxes. Maybe you<br />

made copies for us or set up our tables. Maybe you wrapped, wrapped, wrapped or set<br />

up, broke down and set up again. Whatever the job, the joint effort of volunteers<br />

made the 2012 Spring Boutique an organized and fun event for all.<br />

<strong>Cottle</strong> Art Show is May 23rd from 5:30-7:00 p.m.<br />

The <strong>Cottle</strong> Art Show will hang in the halls outside the auditorium of the<br />

Tuckahoe Middle School/High School.<br />

Mr. Albano has arranged the show in conjunction with Mrs. Kim's<br />

Spring Concert. Artwork from grades K-5 will be exhibited. Miss Derbin<br />

looks forward to seeing you all there.<br />

Talent Show Requirements<br />

Please read these requirements carefully. All participants MUST have a parent’s<br />

signature on their application. The Talent Show Committee will screen acts for<br />

appropriateness, quality, and safety.<br />

• One act per student, unless participating in a teacher-sponsored act.<br />

• Parents, please watch the act at least once before the audition to check for appropriateness,<br />

quality, and length of the act.<br />

• The act must be thought out and prepared well in advance so that the student(s) can do their very<br />

best at the audition.<br />

• Students are required to attend the dress rehearsal(s). Please no parents.<br />

• Costumes must be approved by the Talent Show Committee and worn to the audition. No <br />

exposed midriffs allowed. Body suits may be worn underneath costumes.<br />

• Lyrics of songs must be appropriate for school.<br />

• No lip sync routines will be allowed in the Talent Show. Accompaniment CDs must not have lead<br />

vocals.<br />

• Acts may not be longer than 2 minutes (no exceptions).<br />

• Students selected to be an announcer or stage hand cannot participate in another act. Two announcers<br />

will be chosen based on leadership, volume, and presence. Stage hands will be chosen<br />

based on leadership and discipline. Announcers and stage hands must be in fifth grade.<br />

• Decisions of Talent Show Committee are final. <br />
