Introduction
The Mapping & the Method
This report is a mapping of the Danish computer game companies done in the
framework of the Computerspilzonen, which is housed and managed by the Dan-
ish Producers’ Association, Producentforeningen, a 3 year lasting project seeking
to create growth in and positive focus on the computer game industry in Denmark.
The mapping is a profile analysis and a contact sheet of each company. In the
Data Template, you will find more specific information about the details of the text
boxes in the mapping.
The information has been found online at the Danish company registration site
www.cvr.dk, on the companies websites, divergent computer websites and last but
not least at www.businessview.dk. Further a great number of the companies have
been contacted either or both by email and telephone to attain the information,
that was not available online.
The graphic material in this report belongs solely to the respective companies.
All of the companies have had an opportunity to correct, to object or add to the
information presented in the report. The report will be obtainable through Produ-
centforeningen by personal contact to Jan Neiiendam - see contact in the end of
this report.
The list will have a degree of estimation, since the companies differ very much
in size, activity, field and existence. Some profiles are more detailed than other,
since some information was easier to acquire, and others might lack some infor-
mation, since they haven’t responded to the mapping, or they might lack since
there didn’t exist information about them in any of the above mentioned sources.
The product exambles have been randomly picked out and are results of an es-
timation of what might be representative of the company’s products. It is always
recommended to visit the companies’ own websites to get a closer and more
thorough insight about what each company can offer.
Under Branch Codes, Categories, & Company Structures, you will find more
specific information about the three categorizations in the report. Branch Codes
derive from www.cvr.dk, whcih might give you an idea about a company’s activity
from when they registered - although their present activity might depart from that
very categorization. The Categories - Games, Content Creation, Tools & Plat-
forms, Publisher, and Other, are very broadly framed and are mainly included to
give an immediate idea about the activity of a company. The Company Structures
- One Man Company, Partnership, Stock Company, and Private Limited Com-
pany, are mentioned, since this might help to understand the composition of a
company.
Good luck!
