In Max & the Magic Marker the
player controls the boy Max and his
Magic Marker. While Max enables
good old platforming fun, the marker
provides the game’s signature
feature: the ability for the player to
draw directly inside the game world
where everything drawn becomes
physical objects. This enables the
completion of levels and provides
the player with a unique tool that in
itself is fun to play around with.

Press Play ApS was founded in 2006 and is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The company was founded by Rune Dittmer, Mikkel Thorsted and
Ole Teglbjærg in 2006, initially with the ambition of making casual Flash
games.
Since 2008 they have been focusing on midsize games for the download
market. Currently Press Play employs 8 people not counting freelancers,
and is situated in central Copenhagen under the same roof as other game
companies such as Playdead (Limbo), Frecle, Art of Crime, and a few
more in the Playhouse 43.45 (work title).
In 2008, the company received 452.563 Danish kroner to develop a demo
of the game “Max & the Magic Marker”. In 2009, they received New
Danish Screen funding to develop a prototype of the game Octoracer.
