Like many organizations, KEXP experienced the effects of a weakening economy in 2008. Under the guidance of staff and
the KEXP Governing Board, we were able to weather the difficult year by focusing on core activities, trimming expenses,
and redefining our ambitions for some programs and services. Thanks to this hard work, and to the consistent support of
our community, KEXP was able to end the year in the black. We also increased our cash reserves, as directed by our Board,
in our effort to achieve nine months of operating coverage.
