Part 1—Preliminary<br />
Short title<br />
1. These <strong>Regulations</strong> may be cited as the <strong>Customs</strong> <strong>Regulations</strong>.<br />
Interpretation<br />
2. In these <strong>Regulations</strong>, unless the context otherwise requires, "Act" means the <strong>Customs</strong> Act,<br />
<strong>1986.</strong><br />
Penalty<br />
3. A person who commits an offence against these <strong>Regulations</strong> for which no specific penalty is<br />
provided is liable to a fine not exceeding $10,000.00.<br />

Part 2—Administration<br />
<strong>Customs</strong> flag<br />
4. The <strong>Customs</strong> flag shall be the the <strong>Fiji</strong> Islands ensign with the addition in the fly of the letters and<br />
word "H.M. <strong>Customs</strong>" in bold white characters.<br />
Working days and hours<br />
5. The working days of customs officers are every day except for a Saturday, Sunday or public<br />
holiday.<br />
Working hours<br />
6.—(1) Subject to this regulation, the working hours for the transaction of business with the<br />
<strong>Customs</strong> shall be as follows:<br />
(a)<br />
Indoor—<br />
Monday to Thursday ... .......................................... 0800 to 1300 hours<br />
1400 to 1630 hours<br />
