Safe Harbor <strong>Plan</strong> Design<br />
• Effective 1/1/12, <strong>Milliken</strong> will adopt a “safe harbor” plan design for the<br />
<strong>Milliken</strong> <strong>Retirement</strong> <strong>Plan</strong><br />
• Safe harbor plan design allows all associates to maximize before-tax<br />
contributions<br />
• 2012 before-tax contribution limit = $17,000 ($22,500 if associate will<br />
be age 50 or older during the plan year)<br />
• Reduces administration and need for IRS discrimination testing<br />
• No blackout is required to make the change to safe harbor plan design<br />
