THE DIRECTOR: Chloé Zhao was named one of the 25 New Faces<br />
of Independent Film by Filmmaker Magazine in 2013. Her feature<br />
debut Songs My Brothers Taught Me will premiere in US Dramatic<br />
Competition at 2015 Sundance Film Festival. The film received support<br />
from organizations such as Sundance Institute, San Francisco<br />
Film Society, IFP, Film Independent, Cinereach, and Time Warner<br />
Foundation and won grants such as the Chris Columbus/Richard<br />
Vague production grant. Chloé’s short film Daughters premiered at<br />
the Clermont-Ferrand International<br />
Film Festival and won<br />
Best Student Live Action at<br />
Palm Springs International<br />
Film Festival. Chloé was born<br />
in Beijing, studied Politics at<br />
Mount Holyoke College and<br />
Film Production at NYU.<br />
