THE SPOT IN CABARETE
Thanks to the countless possibilities to have fun on the water, Cabarete
offers the right holiday program for everybody, whether kitesurfers, windsurfers
or surfers, beginners or experts, and whether on the water or on
the land.
WIND AND WAVES
The wind is moderate in the morning and gains strength at midday under
the influence of the trade wind. From May - October the wind blows
mainly side shore from the right with an average strength of 4-5 bft. From
November - April the wind blows mainly cross offshore from the right and
is less constant, but can deliver around 4m high waves at the reef. The
reef is about 800m off of the beach and offers the ideal conditions for wave
beginners and wave experts. Flat water sailors get their money´s worth in
the area in front of the reef, while beginners and intermediates feel comfortable
in the small standing area located directly in front of the center. There
is a mobile kite school so choosing the perfect spot is always possible
depending upon the wind and wave conditions as well as the needs of
the student. Surfing in Cabarete is a hot alternative for all windsurfers and
kitesurfers. The beginner spot is only 5 minutes away from the center, and
directly in front of the Velero Beach Hotel there is a great spot for intermediates.
On top of all this we also organize excursions to the famous and
well loved spot of Encuentro.
THE CENTER
The center is located upwind of the 2km wide bay of Cabarete, together
with the Bic Surf shop and the Eze Restaurant/Bar in Plaza Carib Wind.
The center sits beneath shady palm trees, is very cozy, and offers a chill
out area overlooking the ocean and only 30m from the shore. Right in front
of the center there is easy access for windsurfers of all levels as a reef belt
stops any shore break. The wind close to the beach is very stable with no
wind shadow as there are no obstacles in the background. Thanks to the
fact that the bay is protected by land on both sides and that our team keeps
always keeps an eye out, it is a very safe spot.

Architecturally speaking El Magnifico surely is the nicest and most comfortable
