Health and Wellbeing Grants<br />
The Health and Wellbeing Service manage a number of grants on behalf of<br />
NHS Kernow and Cornwall Council.<br />
Grants Available<br />
Mental Health Self-Help<br />
Group Grant<br />
Over the last six months we have<br />
received applications from both<br />
existing and new groups, these groups<br />
enable members with mental health<br />
and/or emotional needs to receive<br />
vital support and build valuable<br />
relationships. The group’s activities<br />
range from arts, walking, crafts and a<br />
bowling club, these groups are a great<br />
way for members to create a support<br />
network and in many circumstances<br />
gives the attendees much needed time<br />
out and a sense of belonging.<br />
Groups can apply for up to £100 to pay<br />
for activities and running costs. The<br />
group must be based in Cornwall have<br />
at least four members, and directly<br />
benefit those with mental health and/<br />
or emotional needs.<br />

or currently run or are involved with<br />
one and you fulfil the criteria, please<br />
feel free to call us for an informal chat<br />
or to request an application form.<br />

Carers Time Out Grant<br />
The Carer’s Time Out Grant offers a<br />
grant for groups of informal, unpaid<br />
carers. It can be used to fund a break<br />
for carers for example, a spa day or a<br />
meal out for the group. The grant can<br />
also be used for a carer and their cared<br />
for to go on a short break in Cornwall.<br />
Groups must have a minimum of two<br />
peoples and the activity must take<br />
place in Cornwall.<br />
For a group of ten or more carers you<br />
can apply for a maximum of £750. For<br />
individual applications you can apply<br />
for £70 per person.<br />

Individual Carers Grant<br />
Unpaid carers can apply for a grant<br />
of between £50- £160, the carer can<br />
then use this to take a break from<br />
their caring role. This grant is often<br />
used for a variety of things including<br />
for spa days, meals out and arts and<br />
craft equipment. The amount awarded<br />
varies depending on the level of the<br />
caring role provided<br />
