Announcement of the European Qualifying Examination<br />
2006<br />
<strong>The</strong> next European Qualifying Examination will be held from 7 - 9 March 2006. Full<br />
information regarding the examination centres <strong>and</strong> conditions of enrolment has been<br />
published in the Official <strong>Journal</strong> of the European <strong>Patent</strong> <strong>Office</strong> <strong>and</strong> can be accessed via this<br />
link:<br />

UK Examination Centre (Bristol)<br />
C<strong>and</strong>idates may request to sit the examination at <strong>The</strong> British Empire <strong>and</strong> Commonwealth<br />
Museum, Bristol. <strong>The</strong> adoption of Bristol as an examination centre is conditional on at least<br />
10 c<strong>and</strong>idates enrolling there. However, it is expected that this number will be well<br />
exceeded. C<strong>and</strong>idates must indicate on their enrolment forms whether, in the event that<br />
Bristol is not a centre, they would wish to sit the examination at Munich, <strong>The</strong> Hague or<br />
Berlin, or withdraw.<br />

Notice is given that the fees payable in connection with applications filed under<br />
the <strong>Patent</strong> Cooperation Treaty are changing with effect from 01 January 2006.<br />

A reduction of £44 is applicable if filing a PCT-SAFE (EASY) application.
