Mark Ronald Dixon and Katie Qiao Chen
were married at Newtown Mission Church
on 4th October 2014. The wedding venue
was special to Mark and Kate who used
to do homeless outreach at Newtwon
Mission with a group of NCV residents.
James Lam (NCV 2009-11) was Mark’s
best man and Phoebe Holdenson-
Kimura (NCV 2011-12) was one of Katie’s
bridesmaids. Wangari Muchiri (NCV
2009‐13) helped Mark and Katie with the
wedding planning.
Mark originally lived at NCV from
2009-13. During this period Mark served
the community in many ways, notably as
Senior Academic Tutor from 2010-12.
Mark left NCV briefly to do his Medical
internship and residency years, based
mostly in western Sydney (Bankstown and
Campbelltown), but also in Bowral and NE
Arnhem Land. In 2015, Mark returned to
live at NCV with Katie to take up the role
of Assistant Dean where they have been
serving and participating in the life of the
community in many ways.

Dan and Amy Atkins
Dan and Amy Atkins ( both NC 2006-07)
were excited to welcome their first child
Ziggy (Zygmunt) James Atkins into the
world on 19th November 2014.
Nathan and Katherine Milham
Nathan Milham (NC 2009-11) and his wife Katherine are
delighted to introduce their first child, Sophia Milham
born 13 December 2014.
Daniel and Sharron Wilkes (nee McGowan)
Sharon Wilkes (nee McGowan – NCV 2010) and her husband Daniel are
living in their home country of New Zealand. They welcomed a beautiful
little girl on the 25th September 2014 and named her Kari Elizabeth
Wilkes. They say, ‘She’s a cute wee button, and we just adore her!’
