It’s every girls dream to own
a walk in closet, but there’s one
downside. If you’re always on
the go, you can relate with me.
You try on outfits, sometimes
they don’t work, and you just
throw everything back into
your closet. Even though the
task of organizing can seem
overwhelming when all you see
is a jumbled pile of clothes.
As you’re sorting through
your clothes, you want to find
pieces that you’ve haven’t worn
in a year, and pieces that don’t
fit (a size too small or too big).
These clothes that are sitting
in your closet and wasting
space are potential money
makers. Simple solution: take
these and list them on Vinted!
Someone else may find a use
for them, plus you’ll get money
to shop for a new wardrobe.
This is an easy way to freshen
up your style.
For closet organization this
is how I do it. I section off my
closet by type of clothing,
it’s easier to find what you’re
looking for when you know
exactly where it will be. I
like to hang up as much as I
can because if I don’t see it,
chances are I won’t wear it.
The top of my closet consists
of dresses and the hanging
shelves next to it hold my gym/
house wear. I fold those up
stack some of my shoes .
Another organization tip is
to reuse shoeboxes to contain
items like undergarments or
swimsuits. You can place them
next to each other on your
shelves, or use them as drawer
dividers. For bags and belts,
install a row of hooks on an
empty wall, it’s better to hang
up your bags instead of having
them all over the floor.
For work, it’s a requirement to
wear business attire. To make
things more efficient in the
morning I bought a garment
rack to hold all my appropriate
clothes. It’s placed in my room
outside of my closet, so when I
get dressed, all I have to do is
because I just grab whatever’s
on top. The hanging shelves
make use of that dead space
and also give me room below
to use. The shelf between the
rails, hold my skirts and jeans.
I like folding those as well
because I hate clamping them
with hangers. The bottom rail
holds my tops which are in
order of type. From left to right
(tanks, short sleeved, long
sleeved, cardigans, flannels,
jackets). By doing this you can
dress according to the weather
without taking too long to
soft through everything. On
the other wall I hang up my
outerwear, I placed them out
of my way since I barely use
them- it’s always sunny in
California. To keep them neat,
zip or button them up so they
don’t fall off the hanger. To the
choose from here and I’m set. I
got mine at Target for less than
$20. I love this one because
the price is reasonable and the
poles extend! Here I organize
by type so it’s simple to pick
out a top, bottom, or dress.
My closet is always changing.
