packets NPL patrons
“checked out” from the
library’s Seed Exchange
program in 2015,
including 1,014 packets of
bean seeds, 819 packets
of flower seeds, 572
packets of herb seeds,
506 packets of melon
seeds and 501 packets
of squash seeds. Patrons
were encouraged to bring
in new seeds from what
they planted to help grow
the Seed Exchange’s
collection and Nashville’s
access to a sustainable,
local seed crop.
Additionally, more than
500 patrons attended
more than 30 gardeningrelated
programs at NPL.

Nashville Public Library
celebrated a major
milestone this year as it
lent out its 5 millionth
item – a record high for
number of items lent out
in one year.

helping patrons learn and

Salon@615 program
hosted in 2015. More
than 2,900 community
members attended talks

Candace Bushnell and

Courtyard Concert series.
Sponsored by NPLF, the
series brought in acts
such as Mr. Sipp, Riders in
the Sky, Annie Sellic and
Mandy Barnett for more
than 4,400 music lovers
of all ages to enjoy, free
of charge.
