Community Partnerships
Community partnerships are a cornerstone of our work and success. Our library
is not bound by its halls and walls – we work with schools, nonprofits, arts
organizations and youth-focused groups around the city. Together, with these allies,
we get into Nashville’s neighborhoods, delivering our education programs to as
many children and families as we can reach. Our approach to partnerships helps us
maximize library resources and be a vibrant part of our community.
Ingram Content Group Adopts
Southeast Library
Libraries are not just in our communities
or for our communities; they are
our communities. Perhaps no one
understands this better than John
Ingram, chairman and CEO of Ingram
Content Group. Located close to
Ingram’s global headquarters in La
Vergne, the Southeast neighborhood is
home to the company, which connects
content in all forms with readers
around the world, and many of its
employees and their families. So when
the new 25,000-square-foot Southeast
branch library was built last year,
Ingram Content Group jumped on the
opportunity to adopt the branch library
as part of the Foundation’s Adopt-A-
Branch program.
“Through this partnership, we are
investing in the neighborhood that
surrounds our company and in the
families that depend on the library’s
educational programs,” Ingram said. “I
hope all area businesses will recognize
the important role that libraries play in
the lives of our citizens and employees,
and I invite them to join me in ensuring
their future.”
