Solid State Battery Isolators
The units are a fully electronic ‘master/kill switch’ system
designed specifically for competition car applications, in
accordance with FIA safety regulations. The systems contain
no moving parts and their solid construction provides high
resistance to shock, vibration, water and dirt.
The Cartek GT Battery Isolator units perform the battery
disconnection function by breaking the connection between
the NEGATIVE battery terminal and CHASSIS-EARTH. The
engine stop function is performed by cutting 12v power
to the engine electrics, e.g. ECU. The electronic isolation
circuits are controlled by a microprocessor and incorporate
various safety systems including over-temperature and
over-current monitoring. The microprocessor also monitors
the kill switches/buttons for instant activation without false
triggering. The unit will instantly trigger into isolation mode
when any of the kill buttons are struck or on detection of
any fault or break in switch wiring circuits. It also provides
alternator protection during engine run-down without the
need for additional components such as load-dump resistors
or diodes.
The XS Battery Isolator performs the battery disconnection
function by breaking the connection between the NEGATIVE
battery terminal and CHASSIS-EARTH. The Battery Isolator
XS performs the engine kill function by outputing a signal
which can be used to enable/disable ECUs or PDMs or used
to control an engine relay.

Cartek GT Battery Isolator
Suitable for nearly all race and rally car applications. A
very small and highly reliable alternative to the traditional
mechanical master-switch and has been designed to
overcome all of the problems and restrictions associated
with mechanical and electro/mechanical safety cut-outs.

The Digital Gear Indicator from Cartek

The Sequential Shift Light from

preferred time to shift up gear to
gain maximum performance from
their engine. This fully integrated
device is designed to be mounted onto the
dashboard and works with most ignition
systems and Tacho signals. The unit is
quickly and easily programmed and
requires just 3 electrical connections.
CAN-Bus Signal Converter
The CAN-Bus Signal Converter is suitable
for cars that are equipped with CAN-Bus
and do not have separate RPM and Kmh/h
signal wires. This device can be connected
to the car’s CAN-Bus cables and outputs
the required RPM and Km/h signals on
separate wires suitable for the Sequential
Shift Light and Gear Indicator products.

Coolant Level Alarm
An early warning system should their engine
cooling system develop a leak, whether it be from
a punctured radiator, loose hose or gasket failure
before overheating and engine damage occurs.
The Coolant Level Alarm consists of an aluminium
sensor tube which is simply fitted in-line with the
engine’s radiator hose.
The coolant detection electronics are built into
this sensor with a 3-pin plug for power
input and an alarm signal output. This
alarm output can be used to alert
the driver in a variety of ways
including activating a dashboard
LED indicator, audible buzzer or it can be used
to provide the car’s ECU or driver display with a fault
detection input signal. The sensor also incorporates
Red and Green LEDs which offers mechanics a
continuous indication of the coolant status.
