MOCAL<br />
Mocal Oil Coolers<br />
Oil coolers are necessary on tuned and high performance engines.<br />
The oil thins as the temperature rises and its lubricating properties<br />
may be reduced. To keep the oil temperature at about 80°C it<br />
may be necessary to fit an oil cooler. The coolers are made in<br />
two widths 115mm and 230mm (core width). The coolers can be<br />
supplied with either<br />
BSP or JIC unions.<br />
The coolers are light<br />
weight aluminium<br />
and should be<br />
protected from<br />
vibration by carefully<br />
mounting with either<br />
single or double M6<br />
rubber bobbins.<br />

High Flow Remote Filter Housing<br />
This high flow remote filter housing has a 3 /4" BSP female<br />
port either side and takes a 1" UNF filter commonly on<br />
Jaguar engines. This housing is ideal where<br />
high flow and large bore hose is used and<br />
there is a need to avoid 1 /2" BSP ports.<br />

Housings to enable a temperature<br />
gauge sender to be fitted to an<br />
oil line. It is often easier to fit the<br />
sender into a remote filter head or<br />
sump plug but if not possible this<br />
housing fits in a oil line. Available<br />
push on or JIC and BSP. The thread<br />
for the sender is normally 5 / 8 " UNF<br />
or 3 /8" BSP.<br />
Remote Filter Housing<br />
Takes standard oil filer ( 3 /4" UNF) thread. The housing<br />
is tapped 1 /2" BSP and has 2 flow versions, from Left to<br />
Right or Right to Left. It is also available with a 5 /8" UNF<br />
tapping for an oil temperature sender.<br />

Sandwich Plate<br />
The sandwich plate SP1 channels oil from the<br />
filter head to the oil cooler and/or the remote filter<br />
head. The sandwich plate is mounted between the<br />
filter head and the filter and held in place with an<br />
extension bolt. Where space is limited a cover plate<br />
holds the sandwich plate in place and a remote oil<br />
filter is fitted into the system. This is particularly<br />
useful when fitting large engines into small chassis.<br />
The ports on the SP1 are 1 /2" BSP and we can<br />
supply adaptors to suit most hose systems.<br />

threads as the extension bolt.<br />
