Franchise Management and Employee Training
As an industry leader we constantly focus on improving our service
and quality. It all begins with training. We offer some of the most
comprehensive and thorough training in the franchise industry.
We train new franchisees in all the key business categories necessary
to help you become a successful ampm franchise operator. Your
principal contact will be a team of Training Specialists responsible for
facilitating classroom instruction and selecting your on-the-job training
site. The Training Specialists will monitor your progress throughout
the duration of your training and provide you with an opportunity to
demonstrate your knowledge of the business.
New franchisees participate in our comprehensive training program developed to teach you how to operate your
business utilizing a combination of classroom instruction and self study training in an ampm facility. The ampm
Initial Franchise Fee includes training for two people at the initial franchisee training program. The initial
franchisee training program is currently 5 weeks – but the duration is subject to change. The program includes:
� Health, Safety, Security, Environment
� Gasoline marketing
� ampm marketing and merchandising
� ampm promotion implementation
� Customer service
� Food safety
� Fast-food preparation and service
� Sanitation and housekeeping
� Inventory control
� Back-office accounting and financial management
� Responsible alcohol and tobacco sales
Store Manager Training
If you own more than one ampm facility, a minimum of one full time employee for each store is required to
successfully complete the ampm initial franchisee training program. This program provides the necessary
elements an operational / entity designee will need to operate an ampm facility as the primary manager.
Marketing Areas
BP and ampm Convenience Store Markets:
BP ampm operates in the marketing areas of Atlanta, Chicago (including
northwest Indiana), Cincinnati, Cleveland and Orlando. In the Western
states of California, Arizona, Nevada, Washington and Oregon, BP has a
separate ARCO branded gasoline offer combined with the ampm
franchise concept
