Teacher Kong (Kindergarten teacher) She has
been with REPS since the establishment of REPS.
She came to REPS because of the availability of
dual languages. She likes to be around little kids
for she thinks that small kids are easier to teach
and cope with.

She has been at REPS for 8 years and thinks that
REPS is capable of always giving new opportunities
to its teachers. When she’s with her fellow young
students she tries to focus on the development
they go through each day and also makes sure she
provides them all the basics in life.

She has been teaching at REPS for 8 years.
She was born in Khon Kaen, North Eastern
part of Thailand. Her dream job since she
was a child was to be a teacher. The thing
she enjoys most about REPS is the students.
They are very lovely and every member of
the staff is friendly. In her free time Teacher
Nok likes to watch movies.

Teacher Toy (Thai Primary Teacher)
She really appreciates how the students in REPS have
developed in many ways, for example imagination,
creativity, languages and their cooperations in different
kinds of activities. Teacher Toy believes that REPS’s
activities are not too ritualistic. Compared to other
schools, REPS activities are also not as prolonged.

Teacher Pui (Thai Primary Teacher)
She’s been with REPS for almost 6 years and she
still appreciates how REPS provides all the
languages for the students. She’s also happy with
the foreign staff that she is able to work with and
thinks the environment of REPS is comfortable.
Teacher Pui is from the north of Thailand and she’s
an easy going person. She is also not quite fond of
spicy food.

Teacher Puk
Teacher Puk teaches Social Studies and History for the
secondary students. REPS is the 3rd school she’s been
teaching in, and she’s been here almost 4 years. She thinks
that she has gained new experiences in REPS due to the
staff and also improved her English language. Teacher
Puk became a teacher because she has always felt that
there is a connection between her and this job. It is a part
of her happiness to give new knowledge to the students.

Talented Students
Two very talented REPS students have just had great results form their
Associated Royal School of Music's examinations. They should be very
proud of themselves, because to have achieved level 3 in these examinations
at their age is a real achievement.

Gift and Talented Program
Gifted and Talented program
Rayong English Programme School has introduced a Gifted and Talented
program to offer students fun and challenging learning opportunities in
sciences and maths. Our goal is to provide students an environment that
will support greater growth in their education. Students in this photo
have created their own science project and are beginning to conduct
experiments to test a scientific idea. It requires self-motivation, creativity,
analysis and curiosity. Students help each other to create their projects.
Next month they will have the opportunity to represent REPS in a Science
Fair competition. Best of luck to our students!

Beach Clean Up
Pala Beach Clean Up!
On the last day of school for the third quarter, 18th of December, all secondary students went
on outings. Upper secondary students travelled to Phala beach to pick up garbage and do a
beach clean-up. Our IGCSE Biology and Environmental Management teacher, Teacher John
Simons, planned this activity in order for students to acknowledge the effect of littering and to
clean up our local environment.
“It was a great experience; even if the beach was not completely cleaned I felt like it looks
already much better and all the big pieces of garbage have been taken out of the beach.”
The students from M4-M6 spent approximately 2.5 hours cleaning. The garbage that the
students collected included plastic bottles, foams boxes, shoes, a laptop, fishing nets, plastic
bags, and so much more.
After the tiring beach cleanup, there was a barbeque party on the beach for everyone
to enjoy burgers and chicken. It was great to see students and teachers work together
to clean up the beach then prepare the food. The day ended with eating delicious
burgers while enjoying the fresh air of the sea.

Last Day Fun Pool
Fun for lower Secondary.
While the upper secondary students were having fun on the beach, the lower secondary
students from M1-M3 also partook in a fun activity. These students got the chance to
visit the Beach Pool at Eastern Star and enjoy the water activities with their friends and
classmates.

Sports Day at REPS
On December 8-9, 2015 REPS organized its annual “Sports Day” for all the
students in the school to participate in and enjoy many different kinds of sports,
including team sports, such as futsal, football, basketball, volleyball and also track
and field competitions! The different kinds of sports were played on different
days. On the first day of the exciting games, all the students competed in the
team sports, which were all played under the covered areas and away from the
burning hot sun. On the second day all the games and competitions occurred on
the grass field, which was incredibly hot! Although the sun was burning, everyone
still had fun competing in all the track and field sports!

It was the day when everyone played various indoor sports and this year it was
not only the students who got a chance to show their sports skills, but teachers
also got to chance to compete against each other in a number of events.
The first game that was scheduled for the day was the M.1-6 boys futsal finals
between the yellow and red teams. It was such a close game, for both teams had
great skills and played a game that was extremely exciting to watch.
Even though both teams were terrific, at the end of the day there had to be a winner.
The first place went to the yellow team with the score of 3 to 2!

Sports Day at REPS
After the exciting first match of the day, the second event occurred right
away. The M.1-M.6 girls’ futsal finals was a competition between the purple
team and the red team. The two teams played very well and tried their best,
purple got the first couple of goals and then red pushed themselves until
they followed with one goal.
Unfortunately for red,
the time went by so fast
and eventually the
whistle blew and purple
got the victory with the
score of 6 to 1.
The youngsters also were able to play and compete against each other. The Primary boys’ futsal
final between the red team and the yellow team was full of excitement. Not only did they play
skilfully, but they also had a lot of fun while passing the ball back and forth.

Sports Day...Day 1
There were also a couple of exciting basketball matches after all the futsal games.
The first basketball match was the between the M.1-M.3 boys from the green and
yellow teams. The game was very fast and exciting and the crowd was yelling and
cheering for their colours.
Good Job!
It was a rough but safe game of basketball between these two colours and at the end of
the game they all shook hands with great sportsmanship.

Finally, the lovely teachers of REPS were able to show their sports skills against
each other. The teachers gathered teams to compete in a volleyball match and
also an enjoyable chair-ball game. The students were on the side lines cheering
for their teachers as they enjoyed themselves on the court. It was a new and
refreshing sight to see teachers play different sports together!

Sports Day! Day2
On the second day REPS Annual Sports Day competitions, every team, including
purple, red, yellow, and green, performed in the area of athletics. Athletics sports
included running, relay, long jump, and discus to name a few.
Every team had great support from their teammates, who cheered them on
always.
It was exciting to see that students from primary and secondary from every team
receive awards for their different talents.
In the afternoon of day 2, there was the final football match competitions for
boys and girls. For final competitors for the boys were the yellow and red teams,
while the purple and yellow teams were in the girls’ finals. The red team received
victory for the boys and the purple team won for the girls. WOW! Such a great
match.

KG Sport day
Kindergarten Sports Day.
December 15 was Kindergarten Sport Day and under partly sunny skies we had almost 300
Kindergarten students participate in more than 10 different sport events such as sprint run, long
jump, relay races, chair basket ball, long toss, sticky ball throw, bowling and bean bag bulls-eye.
The students were divided into 4 colored teams and each team wore either a red, yellow, green
or purple shirt. Parents were also invited to don shirts of their child’s team and come to cheer
and enjoy the day.
The students rotated between the games so all students could play all the games and team
scores were kept as the emphasis this year was on creating team spirit team and encouraging
each other to do their best for the team. Between games and races the students had snacks,
juice and ice cream to help keep up their energy.
The First place team members received gold medals. Followed by silver for the Second place
and there was a tie for the Third place medals. The sparkling medals that hung on red, white and
blue ribbons were placed around the necks of all the competitors. Then they enthusiastically
posed for team photos. The day ended with very tired and happy students each taking home
their own winning medal!

Toy Tree & Pj Party
Christmas “Toy Tree” and Santa PJ Party.”
The students in Kindergarten at Rayong English Programme school (REPS) brought toys both large
and small teddy bears, dolls, animals and a variety of gifts to put on the tree at the entrance of their
building. Starting with only a few things it grew and grew until over 400 donations of new and gently
loved toys were on and around the tree. Parents loved taking photos with their child by the tree as
they happily added another “teddy” and quickly posted the photos to Facebook. All the items have
been donated to five different outreach programs and local children’s orphanages so children that
might not receive toys for Christmas will get a gift.
The recipients of the toys were: Chumchon Wat Suwan Rangsan School, Camillian Social Center
Rayong, Bethlehem House, Encounter Church and Ban Pakkong School in Rayong.
The students continue to learn about the joy of giving. They really enjoyed helping many other
children to have a “Merry Christmas.”

Happy!!
Then to celebrate the holiday season, REPS Kindergarten students and their parents were
invited to a Pajama Party with Santa, his reindeer Rudolph and Frosty the Snowman.
Getting into the spirit, families came dressed in their favorite sleepy time wear with even
some matching ones for both moms and kids. With lights on the trees and Santa sitting by
the Toy Tree excited children lined up to take photos before starting the musical
programme. All the students performed Christmas songs wearing Santa hats and their
cozy pajamas. Standing on a stage with a curtain of colored tinsel and twinkling lights, the
children sang their favorite renditions of holiday songs. With cameras flashing away, the
packed house of parents and grandparents, with standing room overflowing into the hallways,
applauded all the groups. Then before the students went home to sleep, the evening
ended with traditional cookies and milk with Santa.
