He popped the question, and

However, times have changed and so have

might have been one reminiscent of Cinderella
and Prince Charming. Today you
have dreams of a more grown up and sophisticated
event, but bringing your ideas
into reality can be quite an undertaking, especially
if you and your fiancé cannot afford
to hire a wedding planner.
Extensive planning will allow you to make
the best decisions and help safeguard
against overlooked details. The following
are a few overlooked details concerning
the big day that may slip
the minds of the most organized
brides and grooms.
Book a car rental in advance if the ceremony
and honeymoon are at a location that
requires air travel. This will ease the need to
seek a rental upon arrival.
Several of your guests may bring their
children to the event and often, the flower
girl and ring bearer are of a young age
also. Many children cannot sit still throughout
the reception and will become bored
quickly. Setting up a corner of the banquet
room as a child zone will help keep the children
from running around and bumping
into the adults. The corner could have child
size chairs and tables along with games and
puzzles to keep the little ones occupied.
Pack a bag of emergency items, such as
headache medicines, daily medicines, bandages,
and a small sewing kit.

These days many couples are choosing
to have their ceremony in distant and exotic
locations. Considerable thought as to
whether the budget allows for the bridal
party, family members, and officiant’s accommodations
and travel expense, before
a distant location is chosen. Not everyone
can afford this added expense and might
decline to participate.
