<strong>XANDER</strong> <strong>MAGAZINE</strong>: What or who inspired you to pursue acting?<br />
ZULAY HENAO: Everything evolves…thoughts evolve. I have a lot of questions about the free will<br />
given to us by our creator. So, in a nutshell, Life, and the beauty of the full<br />
human experience, inspires me. Really good actors also inspire me through their mastery of<br />
storytelling.<br />
<strong>XANDER</strong> <strong>MAGAZINE</strong>: What has been the highlight of your career, thus far?<br />
ZULAY HENAO: Being blessed enough to call this my job is the highlight!<br />
<strong>XANDER</strong> <strong>MAGAZINE</strong>: How was your experience working with Mike Epps on your<br />
upcoming project, “Meet the Blacks”?<br />
ZULAY HENAO: I just remember laughing non-stop, and my face literally hurt. He is a very<br />
funny, funny dude. But, more so than that, I am grateful for a very in depth conversation about<br />
the journey, and how to stay grounded, and working harder.<br />
<strong>XANDER</strong> <strong>MAGAZINE</strong>: Are you working on any upcoming projects with Tyler Perry?<br />
ZULAY HENAO: Yes! I am about to start Season 3 of “If Loving You is Wrong”.<br />
I love Tyler and my OWN family.<br />
<strong>XANDER</strong> <strong>MAGAZINE</strong>: Are you working on other projects outside of film?<br />
ZULAY HENAO: I am currently (as I write this) working on an action/comedy film with Netflix,<br />
Starring Kevin James and Andy Garcia. I play a badass DEA agent on a mission to save her<br />
country from a drug cartel and corrupt politicians. It’s been so much fun, and is the current<br />
highlight of my career! There are so many new dynamics and challenges in this film for me as<br />
an actress, including some pretty amazing fighting sequences and pretty eclectic dance<br />
sequences.
