Advocating for photonics at European level Commissioner Günther Oettinger participated at the Photonics Public Private Partnership Annual Meeting 2015 and provided his keynote speech to the European photonics community. Photonics21 participated in the knowledge4 innovation Summit from the 7 th to 10 th December 2015 in Brussels and joint the political debate during a luncheon event focusing on the topic “Digitalisation of Industry”. Photonics21 Executive Board member Dr. Thomas Rettich represented the platform and outlined the potential of photonics for driving digital manufacturing.
