Travel by Air<br />
<strong>Bequia</strong> can be reached via Puerto Rico,<br />
Barbados, St. Lucia (Hewanorra Airport),<br />
Martinique, Grenada and Trinidad. There<br />
are scheduled flights to and from these<br />
international gateways. Same day connections<br />
from Barbados to <strong>Bequia</strong>’s small modern<br />
airport can be made through Mustique<br />
Airways, SVG Air or Grenadine Air Alliance<br />
As an alternative to flying directly into<br />
<strong>Bequia</strong>, or if travelling from gateways other<br />
than Barbados, visitors may fly into St. Vincent’s<br />
E. T. Joshua Airport on LIAT, then take the ferry<br />
from St. Vincent to <strong>Bequia</strong>.<br />
Please note that the airport in <strong>Bequia</strong> is not<br />
open after dark. Check your travel agent, the<br />
relevant airlines or ferry companies for current<br />
schedules.<br />
Domestic Flights – Mustique Airways/SVG<br />
Air (Grenadine Air Alliance) fly between St.<br />
Vincent, Canouan, Union and <strong>Bequia</strong> returning<br />
twice daily (early morning/late afternoon).<br />
SVG Air also offers a private jet service<br />
throughout the Caribbean.<br />
There is a departure tax of EC$50 (US$19)<br />
payable when leaving St. Vincent or any of the<br />
Grenadines on international flights.<br />

Ferries<br />
A regular and efficient ferry service operates<br />
between <strong>Bequia</strong> and St. Vincent. Sailing time<br />
jetty to jetty is about one hour. Three<br />
companies, Admiralty Transport, (784) 458<br />
3348, <strong>Bequia</strong> Express (784) 457 3539 and<br />
Jaden Inc. (784) 451 2192 offer frequent and<br />
convenient sailings. An air-conditioned ferry<br />
terminal is located at the Kingstown Wharf.<br />
If requested in advance, <strong>Bequia</strong> Express will<br />
delay departure Monday to Friday of their last<br />
ferry service at 6:00pm to accommodate late<br />
flight arrivals.<br />
Island Hopping with The Friendship Rose<br />
This traditional sailing schooner offers a<br />
regular schedule of cruises to Mustique and<br />
the Southern Grenadines. One way tickets<br />
can be purchased making island hopping<br />
easy. The Friendship Rose offers connections<br />
to the following islands: Canouan, Mayreau,<br />
Palm, Union and Petit St. Vincent.<br />
