“ALL ABOUT THAT BASS” GUITAR LESSONS Every band needs the sound of a good bass guitar. Lessons will cover the basics for any new beginner first picking up the instrument. Please provide your own instrument. We will read stories as a group as well as enjoy pizza and games! We will even write our own fun short story together. Child must be able to use the restroom independently. Register By February 26 Saturday 5 – 7pm March 5 130723-01 Ages 3 – 6 $10 Mountain View Elementary School THE GREAT ANT RACE Sometimes it’s the biggest ant and sometimes it’s the smallest ant… You never know which ant is the fastest. Think you can find the fastest ant in the valley? Participants are allowed to enter only one ant in the race. Each ant will be tested individually and timed in the competition circle. Ant owners are allowed to encourage their ant along but cannot touch the ant once the timer has started. It may just be all about technique. The owner of the fastest ant wins! Participants must bring a canned good to participate; all received goods will be donated locally. The winner with the fastest ant will receive a prize. POCKET LETTER PALS It's new, it's fun, it's adorable! Pocket letters are a crafty update to a pen pal letter - an easy and exciting way to send and trade notes, treasures and smiles. They are great to trade with friends, send to elderly, college students, ladies at church or folks on Facebook. Bring your own scissors, tacky glue and some type of snail or roller adhesive. All other supplies are included. Bring a small hammer and let’s have some fun! Wallpaper will be provided. Bring a crochet hook size G or H, a skein of regular worsted weight yard (the common 4-ply) or a ball of dishcloth weight cotton yard. Register By March 10 Thursdays 6:30 – 8:30pm March 17 – 31 160327-01 Ages 12+ $25 Plains District Community Center LET’S MAKE A TERRARIUM Create a mini woodlands terrarium for a piece of nature inside your home. Terrariums are an easy and carefree way to bring green into your life. We will be using plants, rocks and other natural materials. All materials are included. This is not the melt and pour soap, but real soap made the old fashioned way. We will also make milled soaps with custom additives. Learn the basics while making a necklace and a pair of earrings with glass beads. Beads and tools will be furnished. Make these cards and get ready to send someone a smile. Please bring scissors, tacky glue and some type of snail roller or adhesive. All other supplies are included.
