The Tertiary Advisory Group (TAG)
represents a strategic collaboration
between Aktive, the Auckland
University of Technology (AUT), the
University of Auckland, Manukau
University of Technology (MIT),
Massey University and Unitec
(the five tertiary institutions of
Auckland), Sport NZ and Auckland
Tourism, Events & Economic
Development (ATEED), working
towards a shared vision of
developing sport in the region,
developing Auckland’s position as
the leading sporting city in NZ and
developing Aucklanders and their
communities through sport. Its
purpose is to:
• Create a regular, high-trust
platform for engaging with
five tertiary organisations in
Auckland
• Use the professional expertise
of tertiaries to help determine
strategic direction and
priorities
• Develop opportunities for
collaboration and alignment
between the tertiary
organisations themselves and
between tertiaries and the
wider Auckland sport
and recreation community
• Drive participation within
tertiary settings

Sports Technology Group. These
are device responsive websites
(can be viewed on smartphones,
tablets, laptops and desktops) with
a simple do it your-self content
management system and full ability
to integrate social media platforms.

per annum target (net of
costs) by 2017, and is driving
