Software Collections<br />
Derived from IRCAM software environments, these<br />
collections and sound libraries, developed and<br />
commercialized in collaboration with well-known partners,<br />
ensures the diffusion of IRCAM’s <strong>technologies</strong> and<br />
knowledge with a broad range of users.<br />
• Ircam Tools<br />
Developed in collaboration with and sold exclusively by Flux::,<br />
Ircam Tools offers high quality audio processing modules<br />
for professional musical and audiovisual production (www.<br />
ircamtools.com). The Spat module from this collection<br />
received the award for best plugin from the professional<br />
magazine Resolution in 2011.<br />
• Ircam Lab<br />
Developed completely at IRCAM and sold by the company Don’t<br />
Crack (www.dontcrack.com), Ircam Lab offers a suite of independent<br />
applications for Mac and PC. The first item in this collection,<br />
IRCAM T.S., was released at the end of 2014. These high<br />
quality modules are designed for simplified use and address<br />
more specifically the sound and video industry, digital education,<br />
as well as amateur and professional practices.<br />
• IrcaMax<br />
Entirely developed at IRCAM, these devices compatible<br />
exclusively with the Live sequencer from the German<br />
company Ableton, offer experimental modules for<br />
interactive electronic music that include <strong>technologies</strong> from<br />
IRCAM. IrcaMax is sold by Ableton.<br />
T.S. enables real-time audio manipulation (transposition and<br />
stretching) and remixing of sound components. These highlevel<br />
modules have been designed to be easy to use and are<br />
intended for use by professionals in the audio/video industry as<br />
well as digital education. The latest addition to this collection,<br />
The Snail-Absolute Tuning, released in January 2016, offers an<br />
advanced tuner and a precise means to visualize music and<br />
sounds using a patented algorithm, the result of a collaboration<br />
between the CNRS and IRCAM in the STMS joint research lab.<br />
• Ircam Solo Instruments<br />
Produced in collaboration with the company Univers Sons,<br />
this collection offers sample banks of acoustic instruments<br />
including contemporary playing modes (IRCAM Solo<br />
Instruments and IRCAM Prepared Piano). This collection is<br />
sold by Univers Sons.<br />
