We were not disappointed: Hot tubs with<br />
unspoilt views located on the cliff top was our<br />
starter, we relaxed whilst stormwatching<br />
looking out to the Atlantic Ocean only to be<br />
then called out to our hot tub!.<br />
Oh my, ruth and I experienced Mother<br />
nature at her finest, 50mph winds sending<br />
waves crashing onto the beach below us,<br />
whilst we sat in a 40 degree hot tub not<br />
daring to reveal our shoulders. The wind was<br />
too extreme to drink champagne but this<br />
exhilarating experience was somehow very<br />
pleasurable and we both felt that a new script<br />
and chapter was unfolding as we had never<br />
experienced anything like this before.<br />
We headed indoors to enjoy more time<br />
inside this amazing spa, entering rooms with lit<br />
by lanterns. The feeling here was very spiritual<br />
and gave a sense of freedom and tranquility.<br />
We both enjoyed an ayurvedic massage which<br />
not only eased away stresses and strains but<br />
balances your dosha energies.<br />
Time is certainly forgotten here, you are<br />
transported into a world away from normality -<br />
not a clock insight, spa staff just appear<br />
discreetly advising you when lunch is served<br />
or to show you to a treatment or relax area.<br />
With breathtaking ocean views, indoor and<br />
outdoor pools and very unique rooms and<br />
seating areas, The Scarlet successfully<br />
combines Cornish and Eastern tastes and a<br />
‘Spa Break’ is definitely recommended!<br />
The wildness of north Cornwall added<br />
something that will live long in the memory<br />
and personally, we cannot wait to return.<br />
