Before the advent of modern religions there was a form of
Spirituality being practiced by indigenous peoples in the
most remote recesses of North America that was deeply
connected to the mysteries of creation. In this thought
provoking and groundbreaking workshop, you will explore
the impact of Native American philosophical beliefs on
the development of New Age thinking, energy healing,
alternative herbal remedies and ultimately on the evolution
of human consciousness.
With a focus on the history of the Lakota peoples you
will come to understand some of the following:
• The origins of Lakota Spirituality
• The “Earth Connection” of Native cultures
• Medicine healers and their place in
Native American culture
• The essential meaning of “Great Spirit”
• The interconnectedness of all things
• Specific rituals of tye Lakota that include the Inipi (sweat
lodge), Hanblechia (vision quest) and the Sun Dance and
their cultural significance
• The impact of the White Man on Native American beliefs
• The resurgence of Native American Spirituality
At the end of this day, you will take home a deeper
appreciation of the contributions of Native American
cultures to the current more inclusive and interconnected
spirituality that many people embrace in modern
society today.
Rev. Lynn R. Sneath, M.A., CAS, is a Psychologist by formal
training. However, his true interests lie in the healing arts
and in all things metaphysical that have to do with the
enhancement of the innate intuitive gifts that all of us
possess. Lynn is a second year student in the Fellowships of
the Spirit School of Spiritual Healing and Prophecy and will
graduate as an ordained minister in the Spring of 2016. His
interest in Native American cultures is in part due to the fact
that he has a familial lineage to the Tuscarora tribe which
originated in the North Carolina region.
