The River and Countryside Group is a collection
of Farmers, Gamekeepers, Estate Managers and
Angling Clubs. With the support of Wear Valley
District Council and Stanhope Market Towns
Programme, who endorse local food and the
initiative of cutting down food miles, we would
like to share with you the opportunity to access
the wonderful local food produce which our
members take great care and pride in producing.
Our Farmers are passionate about rearing and
producing quality local foods at good value which
can be brought to you direct from family run
farms here in the heart of the beautiful dales.
Have you ever gone to the supermarket and wondered what breed your joint of meat has
come from? Now with the use of our directory you can identify exactly what you are
eating, how and where it is environmentally produced, even down to traditional rearing
methods and natural feeding.
We hope you will enjoy looking through our directory and will find it a useful tool, giving
greater choice.
