EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM<br />
To be better prepare the City of Marinette for weather emergencies, outdoor weather warning sirens will be<br />
upgraded for this spring. Weather warning sirens are at the following locations:<br />
1.Merryman School siren will be upgraded with a new unit.<br />
2.Spruce Street siren is being upgraded to new and will be relocated to the Park School area near the<br />
intersection of Owena Street and Parkdale Avenue.<br />
3.Two new sirens will be placed at the Pierce Avenue water tower (corner of Pierce Avenue and Edwin<br />
Street) and in the Industrial Park on Roosevelt Road.<br />

SPRING CLEANING<br />
The Public Works Department would like to remind the residents of Marinette, how to properly dispose of<br />
spring clean-up yard and junk waste. Please follow the City Lines calendars on the back of the newsletter for<br />
the proper yard and junk week schedule. Please have yard waste or junk put out by 7:00 AM for pick up. Large<br />
items, junk, stumps, yard waste and garbage may be dropped off at the City Dump, 2411 Cleveland Avenue,<br />
Marinette. Hours of operation are Wednesdays 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM and Saturdays 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Items<br />
NOT accepted at the dump site include roofing, tar paper, paint, white goods, tires, bricks, blocks or rocks and<br />
microwaves.<br />
LARGE ITEM PICK UP<br />
Large item pickup service is available for $10.00 per item, which is payable at the Civic Center, 2000 Alice<br />
Lane. You will need a City Services Card to process a large item pickup order. City Services Cards are issued<br />
at the Civic Center. The cards are free; however, the card must be preloaded with enough funds to cover the<br />
cost of the service when scheduling an order. After the Large Item Pick Up order is processed, the<br />
Department of Public Works will contact you, via phone, to let you know when the item(s) will be picked up.<br />
Item(s) must be placed on the curb or in the alley for pick up. No item(s) will be removed from inside a<br />
residence. If you have any questions regarding large item pick up, please contact the Civic Center at<br />

Recreation Department at the Civic Center, 2000 Alice Lane. Stickers are valid for all public launches on the Wisconsin<br />
