We’ve got plenty of reasons to get outside and get moving in the New Year!
Indoor Tennis and Pickleball Courts are available year-round at the Civic Center Domes. The court rate is $28 per hour,
per court for adults, and $16 per hour, per court for students.
Court #1 in the Tennis Dome is marked for PICKLE BALL! Regular court fees apply. Balls and paddles available at the
front desk, or bring your own.
Indoor Walking and Running Don’t let inclement weather ruin your walking or running routine! An indoor facility with an
asphalt surface is available at the Civic Center whenever tennis players are not using the courts, beginning at 7:45 AM
each day. 10 1/2 laps around the dome equal one mile. There is no charge.
Disc Golf
Our premier 18-hole course is located at Marinette City Park; the course is FREE for use. Discs are available for use at
the Civic Center and can be checked out with a $20.00 per set deposit. The deposit is returned in full when the three-disc
set is returned. (Lost discs result in forfeiture of your deposit.) Score cards and course maps are also available at the
Civic Center.
SUPERVISED PLAYGROUNDS
Playgrounds are open to school-aged children ages five and older. Three city-sponsored playgrounds are staffed by
supervisors who are trained to offer fun activities for children. The School District of Marinette will provide FREE
breakfast and lunch at all sites throughout the summer. Playgrounds will be open for the season June 6 through August
11. Children are free to come and go as they wish, so parents should plan accordingly. This is not a substitute for
daycare. It’s an opportunity for supervised play for school-aged children. - There is NO CHARGE for participation in this
program.
Bend and Stretch Exercise Class features flexibility and floor exercises and incorporates the use of light weights with
great success for participants! Class meets Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00-9:45 AM at the Duer Gym, 402
Williams Street.
Punch cards (7 classes) cost $10.50 for city residents or $16 for non-city residents and are available at the Civic Center.
