CLASSIC TIMES
From our Director: Lynda Christison
South Carolina sunshine, warm weather, flowers,
birds, bees, the smell of freshly mowed grass –
spring is here! Time for hats and sunscreen, picnics,
ball games, horseshoes, walking outside,
gardening, swimming…..gotta love trading scrapping
icy windshields for sneakers and flip flops!!
Many, many thanks to everyone
who supported March
for Meals 2016! The support
of so many for the importance
of senior meals is
heartwarming! Ribbon cuttings
and grand openings at
both Pine Ridge- South Congaree and Gilbert-
Summit Senior Centers, support of Lt. Governor
McMasters, Congressman Joe Wilson, the SC
Senate and House members, mayors from
around the County, Community Champions who
delivered meals to homebound seniors, and the
talented Zumba instructors who donated their
time to make our first
Rockin’ Shamrock Zumbathon
to benefit for
Meals on Wheels
so generously of your time and energy
in so many ways!! Your help delivering
meals, working at one of our Senior Centers,
at our Aging Admin office, helping with special
events and Christmas in Lexington County –
all of it is so very much appreciated!
Since 1963, the contributions of
older people have been celebrated
