Introduction
The Company is pleased to announce a strong set
of 2015 KPIs, which reflect the strength of Plus500’s
brand and business model despite the distractions and
disruptions of an eventful year. Plus500’s operational
team deserves credit for managing strong underlying
business performance despite the regulatory issues
that caused a temporary suspension of trading and
onboarding in the UK and the distraction presented by
the aborted merger agreement with Playtech.
During the year, the Company made significant
progress enhancing its regulatory compliance
and onboarding processes in line with the
recommendations of its regulatory advisors and Skilled
Person reports and strengthened management in all
As announced in November 2015, the proposed
merger agreement with Playtech plc was terminated as
merger.
The Company adopted a "business as usual" policy
during the lengthy merger timetable and continued
to invest in its marketing, technology and regulatory
operations during this period, as a result of which
the Group is now in its strongest position since its
foundation.
