Energy,’ noted how ‘the Koch brothers and their conservative allies in state government have found a new tax they can<br />

spending heavily to fight incentives for renewable energy, which have been adopted by most states. They particularly<br />
dislike state laws that allow homeowners with solar panels to sell power they don’t need back to electric utilities.’”<br />

Paul Ryan Worked Also Fought Against Solar Energy<br />
The Solar Tribune Gave Rep. Paul Ryan An “F” For His Anti-Solar Positions Including Supporting ALEC’s Anti-<br />
Solar Agenda And Trying To Make An Example Of Solar Incentives As A Poor Use Of Federal Funds. According to<br />
the Solar Tribune’s 2016 Presidential Campaign Solar Scorecard, Paul Ryan was awarded an “F” for his anti-solar positions.<br />
The Solar Tribune went on to say that, “<strong>Wisconsin</strong> Senator [sic] Paul Ryan, Like Senator Ted Cruz, is heavily tied to the<br />
American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). In addition to supporting ALEC’s anti-solar agenda, Paul Ryan has tried to<br />
make an example of solar incentives as a poor use of federal funds. Despite his criticisms, several of the projects he has sited<br />

Paul Ryan Voted No On The Renewable Energy And Energy Conservation Tax Act Of 2008. According to GovTrack,<br />
Paul Ryan voted no on H.R. 5351 (110th): Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Tax Act of 2008 which would have<br />

2015: The Koch Brothers Wrote A Letter To GOP Lawmakers Urging Them To End The Oil Export Ban. According<br />
to the San Francisco Chronicle, “In a news conference Wednesday after talks had wrapped up, Pelosi described as “stunning”<br />
a letter that coal and oil magnates Charles and David Koch wrote to GOP lawmakers urging an end to the oil export ban but<br />
denouncing the solar and wind credits as corporate welfare.” [San Francisco Chronicle, 12/16/15]<br />
AFP Announced It Was “Proud To Lead A Coalition Of Free Market Organizations Calling For Repeal Of The<br />
Outdated Crude Oil Export Ban.” According to a post on the Americans for Prosperity website, “Americans for Prosperity<br />
is proud to lead a coalition of free market organizations calling for repeal of the outdated crude oil export ban. Repealing the<br />
ban would help modernize our energy economy, create jobs, and spur economic growth.” [Americans for Prosperity, 9/17/15]<br />
Koch Supply And Trading Chief Information Officer Rob Short On Lifting The Oil Export Ban: “Koch Industries In<br />
General Supports Open Markets And I Think We Would Like To See No Export Bans.” According to Bloomberg<br />
Business, “Koch Industries has advocated lifting the U.S. ban on crude exports. ‘Koch Industries in general supports open<br />
markets and I think we would like to see noexport bans’ for U.S. crude oil, [Koch Supply & Trading Chief Information<br />
Officer Rob] Short said. ‘I know we are looking for opportunities to export.’” [Bloomberg Business, 12/10/15]<br />
