It has many tourist places, one <strong>of</strong> them is Junagarh Fort originally called Chintamani<br />

and was renamed as Junagarh or Old Fort in the 20th century when the ruling family<br />

moved to Lalgarh Palace outside the fort limits. The fort was built under the supervision<br />

<strong>of</strong> Karan Chand, the Prime Minster <strong>of</strong> Raja Rai Singh. It <strong>co</strong>ntains several palaces, pavilions,<br />

Hindu and Jain temples along with seven gates. The fort has stone carving in red sandstone.<br />

It is built with three different architectures <strong>of</strong> Rajput, Gujarati and Mughal.<br />

Lalgarh Palace palace is built for Sir Ganga Singh, Maharaja <strong>of</strong> <strong>Bikaner</strong>. It is built with<br />

three architectural styles Rajput, Mughal and European architecture. It houses a Shri Sadul<br />

Museum, the private home <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Bikaner</strong> Royal Family, Lallgarh Palace Hotel, and Laxmi<br />

Niwas Palace.

Gajner Palace is found by Maharaja Gajner Singh Ji, located on the banks <strong>of</strong> the lake. The<br />

palace is used by the royal family after hunting. The Gajner Wildlife Sanctuary has some<br />

unique plants and animals like blue bulls, Indian hares, antelopes, deer, wild boars and<br />

many more. The palace is located in the sanctuary.The world famous shrine <strong>of</strong> Karni Mata,<br />

that can be found in the town <strong>of</strong> Deshnoke, 30 km south from <strong>Bikaner</strong> on the road to Jodhpur<br />

in the karni Mata Temple, which houses a number <strong>of</strong> white rats, that are taken as a<br />

blessing for the temple.<br />
