FIELD TRIP TO AMANI IN TANGA MAPWORK SESSION DURING THE WALK FROM UBIRI TO LUTINDI HILL Suitable for Paper 2 (0460/2) 1.Observe the villages of Mlesa and Mikwinini which are wrongly marked on an Ordinance Survey map of Mnyuzi; 1:50,000 (Tanzania: Series Y742 (DOS 422), as you travel from Amani Nature Reserve Centre to Ubiri village for a mapwork session.(Trail 5/Drive 1). Give the grid reference for the correct location of: Mlesa ____________________________________________ . Mikwinini _____________________________________________ . 2. Use an Ordinance Survey map of Mnyuzi; 1: 50,000 to plan a route for visitors from Ubiri village to Lutindi hilltop (See Trail 5 on page 5) on map 6 (1:25,000). You should mark the following on map 6: (a) Ubiri village. (b) Lutindi hilltop. (c) The route you have walked from Ubiri to Lutindi. 3. What do you see?
