Roll up, roll up…everyone’s
going crazy for the May-Hem
Circus at Piglets Adventure Farm
this May half term. With death defying stunts, upside down
juggling and amazing acrobatics, all in the giant pink big top,
it’s unmissable fun for the entire family, from 28th May to 5th
June. With the opening of the brand new Truffles Farm House
& Barn outdoor adventure play, there’s so much more for
the kids to do. Piglets Adventure Farm is located 15 minutes
from the centre of York, on Towthorpe Moor Lane, between

Mother Shipton’s Cave
Never let it be said that Mother Shipton’s Cave isn’t full of
wonder and mystical happenings, and this May Half Term holiday
will be no different! After the roaring success of last year’s
Faerie & Goblin event Fiona Martin, the parks owner, has
decided to bring the characters back to enthrall kids of all ages
once more. It’s not just returning mythical creatures that visitors
can be entertained by, the park has a new adventure playground
with a zip wire, a basket swing, scramble net and a jungle
climbing frame fitted with cargo nets sure to keep all ages of
adventurers occupied. The park is open 7 days a week, however
should you wish to meet the Faeries and Goblins the May Half
Term event is happening from Saturday 28th May until Sunday

Knights at Richmond Castle
Experience the thrill of live battles, watch adrenaline-fuelled
displays of skill and strength, or soak up the sights, sounds
and smells of the encampment.
Knights’ Tournament – Sat 28 – Mon 30 May
Marvel at our noble knights as they take on the ultimate
medieval contest. Swords will be wielded, archery skills tested
and helmets battered as these skilled men are put to the test
in each nail-biting round.
Clash of Knights’ for Father’s Day - Sat 18 – Sun 19 June
Chain-mailed and adrenalin-fuelled, massed ranks of
armoured knights meet head on. Feel the heat of the battle
as four teams fight with clubs and shields in this contest of
skill and strength. Revel
in the atmosphere of the
encampment as it buzzes
with the activity of
everyday medieval life.

The Deep
Join us this May half
term (28 May to 5
June) and learn about
amazing wildlife in
your area as The
Deep celebrates all things local. Visit the
Explorers’ Den and learn how to make your own bird feeder,
bee hotel, butterfly feeders or hedgehog houses. Complete
your love local wildlife trail to be in with the chance of winning
