The 158th Great Yorkshire Show promises to
be a wonderful day out for all the family.
More than 130,000 visitors are expected to flock to
Harrogate to enjoy the three-day rural extravaganza,
which opens its gates on Tuesday 12 July.
This year, the showground’s new £10m hall will
make its debut as the venue for the food emporium.
The hall plays host to the Great Yorkshire Cheese
and Dairy Show, a cookery theatre and food show
with TV chef Rosemary Shrager, which is sure to
prove a big draw to visitors.
Topping the bill in the Main Ring will be displays
by the motorcycle display team, Bolddog Lings,
as well as international show jumping and the
awe inspiring cattle parade with around 200
plus animals. There’s the chance to get up-close
and personal with animals of all shapes and
sizes, a new look to the show’s Country Pursuits
and Forestry Areas and more than 1,300
stands with everything from hot tubs to combine
harvesters on display.
Shoppers will have a field-day, with
opportunities to buy the latest designer dresses,
jackets and shoes to chutney, crumpets and
chapatis!

at 06.30. Situated in the heart of the seafront, with stunning views
across Bridlington bay and across to Flamborough Head, the new

The exciting Splash Zone fun pool will be home to two interactive
water slides – Aqua Smash and Slide Champ – and an interactive
waterplay structure with a huge Super Splash Tipping Bucket, water
jets and toddler games. Aqua Smash will feature sensors that users
can touch while sliding down. At the end, they can push the button and
record their score, including their sliding speed. Slide Champ is the
speed slide – users will lie down and slide against the clock.
