The 158th Great Yorkshire Show promises to<br />

be a wonderful day out for all the family.<br />

More than 130,000 visitors are expected to f<strong>lo</strong>ck to<br />

Harrogate to enjoy the three-day rural extravaganza,<br />

which opens its gates on Tuesday 12 July.<br />

This year, the showground’s new £10m hall will<br />

make its debut as the venue for the food emporium.<br />

The hall plays host to the Great Yorkshire Cheese<br />

and Dairy Show, a cookery theatre and food show<br />

with TV chef Rosemary Shrager, which is sure to<br />

prove a big draw to visitors.<br />

Topping the bill in the Main Ring will be displays<br />

by the motorcycle display team, Bolddog Lings,<br />

as well as international show jumping and the<br />

awe inspiring cattle parade with around 200<br />

plus animals. There’s the chance to get up-c<strong>lo</strong>se<br />

and personal with animals of all shapes and<br />

sizes, a new <strong>lo</strong>ok to the show’s Country Pursuits<br />

and Forestry Areas and more than 1,300<br />

stands with everything from hot tubs to combine<br />

harvesters on display.<br />

Shoppers will have a field-day, with<br />

opportunities to buy the latest designer dresses,<br />

jackets and shoes to chutney, crumpets and<br />

chapatis!<br />

The exciting Splash Zone fun pool will be home to two interactive<br />

water slides – Aqua Smash and Slide Champ – and an interactive<br />

jets and toddler games. Aqua Smash will feature sensors that users<br />

can touch while sliding down. At the end, they can push the button and<br />

record their score, including their sliding speed. Slide Champ is the<br />
