The observatory is located at nearly 3000 meters and is operated by The<br />
Institute of Astrophysics of Andalucia. The Ash-Domes house two Ritchey-<br />
Chretien telescopes, 1.5 and 0.9 meter. A separate building houses a 0.6m<br />
telescope. The observatory is used exclusively for research in many areas<br />
of Astrophysics.<br />
