what’s on where What My first year at Aylesbury Grammar School means to me ‘Respect & Aspire’. When I first joined AGS I didn’t have a clue what this motto meant. It took me a while before I realised the full meaning of this phrase, which as a school, we all try to follow. Including this in school life was quite a challenge, but after thinking about these words, I began to appreciate the significance of our motto. Respecting one another is important whether this is teachers, classmates, parents or ourselves. We treat each other with kindness and help anyone who needs it. Aspiring can be more of a challenge, as we must always try to do our best. We aspire to work hard and to give our all in any situation. Settling in was much easier than expected. With the help of friendly staff, everyone managed to combat their fears. I have had lots of great experiences, on trips, on the bus, or just around school because every part of the day is fun – lessons included! I am proud to be a student at AGS and I’m sure anyone considering joining would be too. As a school and as a community, we all strive to Respect and Aspire at this brilliant school.
