The Story Behind
KASA literally means “talk” in the native Ghanaian
language Twi.
And our shoes just won’t shut up about you. [don’t worry
it’s all good things.]
Fashion should speak to who you are as a person. It’s an
exterior representation of your story, values and spirit.
Which is great because people often form their opinion of
others within seven seconds. Yep, they’ve done studies.
You can barely say your name in seven seconds let alone
share some intimate details on what makes you tick. But
don’t let science hold you back from making a positive
impression on someone.
At KASA we like to say “let your feet do the talking.”
Letting your fashion communicate something more about
what you believe in and what you think.
Tell the world you’re an adventure loving, globetrotting,
diversity encouraging, fashion forwarding rebel soul and
still have 6 seconds to spare!
We also want our shoes to speak for Ghana. People in
the west know very little about our home country outside
of negative headlines. That isn’t how we view Ghana,
because our home is so much more than one or two
stories. We want to spread the TRUE story of Ghana.
A story of a great country, a democratic nation, a peaceful
nation, and the first nation on the African continent to gain
independence from Britain.
Ghana is a country with rich traditions and a thriving
cultural heritage. We want to protect that heritage and
share it with more of the world through our work and
our shoes.
