Shared <strong>in</strong>formation on education and tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g opportunities.<br />

A sem<strong>in</strong>ar and Labour L<strong>in</strong>k taster fr<strong>in</strong>ge have been organised for<br />
women’s conference 2016.<br />
Defeat the far right<br />
<strong>in</strong> this election, and<br />
<strong>in</strong>to the future<br />
The committee and members made use of social media to share<br />
<strong>in</strong>formation about far right organisations, as well as support<strong>in</strong>g<br />
<strong>UNISON</strong> ma<strong>in</strong>stream campaign<strong>in</strong>g activities <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g Hope Not Hate<br />
events, petitions and regional activities.<br />

2.1 Women <strong>in</strong> society<br />
Motion 8 : Harmonisation of <strong>in</strong> work threshold and benefit cap<br />
Drew attention to the complicated and unjust system for claim<strong>in</strong>g benefits, and to the need<br />
for a just and fair entitlement to liv<strong>in</strong>g and hous<strong>in</strong>g assistance.<br />
Called on the NWC to work with There For You to provide guidance; campaign aga<strong>in</strong>st unfair<br />
provisions under Universal Credit and to fair access to assistance.<br />
