People call me Ian and i’m born and 

raised in Singapore. 

Started collecting Anime Figures since 

2011. I was inspired by the artistic possibilities 

of Anime Figures and even 

considered sculpting. Decided to turn 

to Anime Figure photography as a 

hobby and discovered there are many 

like minded out there. The extremely 

talented toy photographers out there 

some of whom i am gracious to have 

met. The things that inspire me are 

anything artistic, creative and of course 

Japan related culture. 

It is a humbling to be part Figure photography 

community. The best part 

is you can always meet these Figure 

photographers and friends at events all 

over the world. Learn from them and 

exchange art with each other. I might 

not be the best but i hope to inspire 

new comers with my photos. My dream 

is to of course grow my business as 

well as be part of an Anime Circle, i 

think that is the coolest thing that can 

happen.

Calvin is a figure collector, photographer, 

and photo editor born and raised 

in Indonesia. Currently he is studying 

Business and Management degree in 

SIM-UOL Singapore. He began figure 

collecting since late 2012 and started 

figure photography in early 2016. Most 

of his collection are Nendoroid due to 

his interest in Chibi and Anime. 

Before beginning figure photography, 

He was a freelance photo editor. The 

reason why he started figure photography 

is because he found the joy and 

excitement of bringing the figures to 

life. His motto is life as free as possible, 

which means infinite possibility and 

creativity. 

The most important for him is to make 

friends from figure photography circle 

and learning to be better at it. “There is 

no limit for improvement” is one of his

Kyleigh Grace Parker (b. 1994) Starting 

from an early age toys weren’t toys. Her 

room wasn’t simply a room. When 

crossing the threshold, you stepped 

into another world. To her, these figures 

stepped out of their universe and into 

hers. As she grew older the fervor for 

collecting and her creativity reached 

new heights. 

After meeting who would be her husband, 

Kyle, in early 2012,. They soon 

found they shared a deep love for all 

things anime, video games, and general 

geekery. Her passion and ingenuity 

were then compounded by sharing 

that life together. Under the moniker 

CaptainDangerous, camera in hand, 

and slivers of what made her life so 

magical, she started to plow a path in 

the toy photography community.

Gale XV is a figure photographer and 

collector from Toronto, Canada. 

He started figure collecting in 2008 

before moving to Toronto in 2010. His 

interest in the hobby came back in 

2012 starting from figma, doll customizing, 

gunpla, then with Nendoroids 

and PVCs today. The figure photography 

started when he was customizing 

my gunplas, and came across photos 

of other anime figures with dioramas 

from the figure photography community 

around the world, which inspired 

him to give it a try. 

Eventually, he started doing photos 

through phone camera and went on full 

steam last April 2015. The works of the 

figure photographers worldwide continue 

to inspire him to keep the creativity 

going, and bring them to life. Learning 

from authors like C.S. Lewis, and 

G.K. Chesterton became an inspiration 

for the imagination.

Also the things he learned from summer 

school last July about the arts 

helped a lot to create and develop 

themes until it became a personal project. 

Today, he still continues to learn 

from these writers and experiences to 

develop more ideas. 

His main purpose for these photos are, 

as one author put it, to “recapture the 

wonder” through the photos. 

It’s still in the process and he is looking 

forward for the fruits these projects will 

bear in the future. 

His favorite themes are fantasy, history, 

and slice of life. He also like to experimenton 

different stuff like applying 

Renaissance art techniques to figure 

photography.

I’m newbie toys collector. My real name 

is Thitiya but the everyone called me 

“kanakochii” since I started using this 

name as S/N for all social networks. 

Most of my favorite animations are 

about to have many ikemen boys. 

(LOL) I’m really in love with Boys sport 

animes i.e. Ace of Diamond, Yowamushi 

Pedal, Free! Iwatobi swimming club etc.

I do not know much about basic photography 

techniques. I always use Fuji 

Film X-A2 camera. My photography 

style is not based on any photography 

techniques or rules. I just take a shot 

and see how my photo looks like. I always 

used my own D.I.Y Diorama. It is 

very fun to make a setup and theme 

for photography. I try to make toys look 

alive through my photos as much as 

possible. Hope everyone can feel it ^_^ 

One year ago, I started to collect 

mini figurines like Chibi figurines and 

Gashapons from my favorite animes 

before started seriously collecting 

figurines. My first figurines is Mikazuki 

Munechika nendoroid from Touken 

Ranbu game. Currently, I owned about 

40 nendoroids and few scaled figures. 

^_^ I am super excited and manage to 

get more and more of them in the future.

Hi there!! I’m Yuna and I’m a big fan of 

nendoroid series since 2008. I’m spanish 

and have too many hobbies (and 

my wallet hates me for it). I love playing 

videogames (specially RPGs and 

fighting games), photographying my 

figures, sewing clothes for my dolls, 

reading, sleeping, singing and having 

fun with my nendo-army.

accounts on Instagram, she has been 

amazed at how the figurines could 

come to life in the photos. 

Through her journey, she is thankful to

Started toy photography since arround 

2012 on Instagram, using Iphone 4 cam. 

It’s fun, doing toyphoto. Then I got the 

chance using DSLR camera because 

ny big brother borrow it from me. It 

gets me more hooked up becasue of 

increase in image qualities. And after 

that I buy his cam, and buying more 

toys, take quite a lot of pics, and the 

next thing I know years has passed by 

and my figure collection increased so 

drastically as well as I become so interested 

in toy photograpy. 

Well I’m not that knowlageable in photography

There was no concrete style of photography

My name is Myra known as Nendoroidoodads 

online and I am from Australia. 

I am still new to this hobby and only 

recently stumbled upon the figure collecting 

world. 

I bought my first figure which was a 

nendoroid around February 2015 and I 

now own 25 of them and its growing 

fast! Soon after I started collecting I 

stumbled upon facebook pages that 

took cute photographs of their figures 

such as Kixkillradio and NYOtaku and 

fell in love with it. 

On March 14th 2015 I decided to make 

my own facebook page and try taking 

my own photos. I started off just using 

my mobile phone to take photos and 

as my page grew I decided to take a 

step further and buy my first proper 

camera. My page is now just over 900 

likes which I am so happy with as I 

never thought me joining this hobby I 

joined would come so far!

After I had been collecting for about 

half a year I started my own D.I.Y projects 

for miniature items to use in my 

photos. A lot of people kept asking me

In the short time I have been a figure 

photographer I have met so many

friends, it is such a wonderful hobby to
