Ons idee
We are Sanne, Marloes and Denise and we want to bring refugees and their host communities
closer to each other. Our idea is to build an app that connects refugees with people from the
host communities based on similar interests and location. Refugees and the people from the
host community can create an account where they fill in their interests. Not their age, gender nor
a profilepicture. The matched people can chat with each other through the app. When there's a
language barrier the app will translate automatically and shows the refugee the original message
and the translation. That way the refugee has a chance to learn the language. The locals can
help refugees find their way in the host community and tell them about our culture. And the other
way around. Refugees can help create more awareness of their situation and their culture.

Feedback die wij gekregen hebben

Wat we met deze feedback gaan doen:
De positieve feedback die we hebben gekregen was dat het interessant is dat we geen leeftijd,
geslacht en foto gebruiken. Hierdoor krijg je geen vooroordelen en gaat het niet op een datingsapp
lijken.
De feedback waar we nog goed over na moeten gaan denken is hoe we mensen zover gaan krijgen
de app te gaan gebruiken. Voor de vluchtelingen is dit niet zo moeilijk, omdat het voor hun
gelijk duidelijk is dat ze er echt iets aan hebben. Voor de locals is dit een ander verhaal. In de
feedback werd gezegd dat de stap voor locals om de app te gebruiken best groot is. Hier moet
een oplossing voor gevonden worden, maar daar hebben we nog niet over nagedacht.

How we want locals to start using the app, is by informing the ones that already assigned for volunteering.
They will receive an email about the app, so they can start using it and helping refugees
right away. By word of mouth the locals can get other local to use the app.
We hebben nagedacht over hoe we de locals in aan merking met onze app kunnen laten komen.
Ons idee hierin is dat degene die zich opgeven als vrijwilliger, dus degene die al willen helpen,
via de organistatie waar ze zich opgeven informatie over de app krijgen. Zo hoeven ze niet te
wachten tot ze iets kunnen doen, ze kunnen gelijk aan de slag. Als deze groep de app gebruiken
en via mond tot mond reclame aan andere locals vertellen hoe leuk het is, zullen er steeds meer
zijn die onze app gaan gebruiken.
