One Room Schoolhouse Lookbook

There was a one room schoolhouse in my hometown, and
I loved to go and peek inside. I imagined what it was like
to be a student there. To walk to school and play outside
with friends and practice
handwriting and arithmetic
with slate and chalk.
All those old thoughts
have given me
inspiration for my
new collection.
One Room
Schoolhouse is fun
and fresh just like a
school day in spring,
where you could make
flower chains at recess
and stay out to play
until dark after school.

One Room Schoolhouse is a
great crossover line. The prints
and colors in this collection will
work for many different shop
owners. As a shop owner myself,
it’s important for me to create
a fabric collection that will be
an asset to a fabric store. And
as a quilter, I create fabrics that
I know will look amazing in a
quilt.
The scale of the prints is small
enough to do intricate piecing. I
envision a lot of vintage inspired
quilts being made with this
line. I also think One Room
Schoolhouse will look great in
small sampler projects like the
Farmer’s Wife Quilt. The colors
will also lend well to mix with
other fabric lines both modern
and more traditional.
